David Y. Nakashima

David Y. Nakashima joined Watanabe Ing LLP as an associate in 2005, practicing in the areas of commercial litigation, government contracts and procurement, insurance defense, corporate law, and loan workout and collections.

While attending the Richardson School of Law, Mr. Nakashima was a staff member of the University of Hawaii Law Review, and authored "Your Body, Your Choice: How Mandatory Advance Health-Care Directives are Necessary to Protect Your Fundamental Right to Accept or Refuse Medical Treatment." He also served as an extern and volunteer for the Honorable Kevin S.C. Chang and the Honorable Barry M. Kurren, United States Magistrate Judges for the District of Hawaii. Prior to enrolling in law school, Mr. Nakashima worked briefly for Pacific Business News as a reporter.

Mr. Nakashima is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before all of the state and federal courts of the State of Hawaii.
