Melvyn M. Miyagi joins Watanabe Ing LLP
Watanabe Ing LLP is pleased to announce that veteran litigator Melvyn M. Miyagi joined the firm as a partner today to lead the commercial litigation practice group. Over a thirty-two year career, Mr. Miyagi has tried thirty-five cases to jury verdict.
“Mel brings over three decades of civil litigation experience to our firm. He is an outstanding attorney, a much respected member of the Hawaii bar, and a natural addition to the WIK ‘ohana” said Managing Partner Douglas Ing.
Mr. Miyagi comes from the firm of Miyagi Myhre & Tsuchida. He is a graduate of the Santa Clara University School of Law and received his B. A. in Political Science from the University of Hawaii, Manoa. Mr. Miyagi is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and has served as faculty for continuing legal education seminars presented by the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA), the ABOTA Masters in Trial Program, Hawaii State Judiciary and Hawaii State Bar Association relating to trial and tort litigation matters. Early in his career, Mr. Miyagi worked as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of Hawaii.
