Watanabe Ing LLP Attorneys Contribute to Report of Hawaii Task Force on Lawyer Well-Being

On May 10, 2019 Chief Justice Mark E. Recktenwald established the Hawaii Task Force on Lawyer Well-Being to review the recommendations in the National Task Force Report and assess which items could be implemented to address the unique needs of Hawaii’s legal community and recommend how proposals could be implemented.  Watanabe Ing attorneys, Ian L. Sandison and Summer H. Kaiawe, were among those appointed to the Hawai`i Task Force.

On June 1, 2021, the Hawaii Task Force delivered its Report to the Chief Justice by Hawaii Task Force Co-Chairs, Associate Justice Sabrina McKenna and Louise Ing, Esq.  The Report examines the wellness state of the legal profession and well-being recommendations for attorneys, judges, regulators, legal employers, law schools, bar associations, professional liability carriers, and lawyers assistance programs.  A link to the Hawaii State Judiciary press release regarding the Hawaii Task Force and its Report is available here.
