Watanabe Ing LLP Welcomes Vanessa Wen and Rihui Yuan to the Firm

Vanessa Wen, Associate

Vanessa Wen joined Watanabe Ing in October 2022 as an associate. Her practice is focused in the areas of Litigation and Trial, Banking and Real Estate, and Creditor’s Rights.

Vanessa received her J.D. from the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, and her B.A., cum laude, in Criminal Justice from Seattle University.

While in law school, Vanessa was the recipient of the Simeon R. Acoba, Jr. Scholarship. Vanessa also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Jeffrey P. Crabtree of the First Circuit Court of Hawai‘i, interned at a local law firm, and at the Honolulu Prosecutor’s Office Domestic Violence Misdemeanor and Felony Division.

Prior to joining Watanabe Ing, Vanessa served as a law clerk for the Honorable Jeffrey P. Crabtree of the First Circuit Court of Hawai‘i.

Rihui Yuan, Associate

Rihui (“Ri”) Yuan joined Watanabe Ing in September 2022 as an associate. Her practice is focused in the areas of Litigation and Trial, Environmental, and Creditor’s Rights.

Ri received her J.D. from the William S. Richardson School of Law, and her B.S. in Food Science Human Nutrition from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa where she was a Dean’s Outstanding Scholar.

While in law school, Ri was a two-time oralist on the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Team, and a recipient of the Bruce C. Bigelow Memorial Scholarship, Carol C. Mon Lee Scholarship, and Gregory Conlan Scholarship. Ri also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Sabrina S. McKenna of the Hawai‘i Supreme Court, and as a law clerk for a regulated public utility and a local law firm.

Prior to joining Watanabe Ing, Ri served as a law clerk for the Honorable Lisa W. Cataldo of the First Circuit Court of Hawai‘i.
