Tammy Kim is an associate in the firm’s Creditor’s Rights section.

Born and raised on Oʻahu, Tammy is a graduate of Punahou School, where she served as captain of the high school mock trial team and first developed her interest in the law. She later interned for the Honorable Edward H. Kubo, Jr. in the Hawaiʻi State Circuit Court.

Tammy earned both her Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from the University of Hawaiʻi at Manoa. As an undergraduate, she served as president of the Manoa Pre-Law Association and as a senate member of the Manoa Scholars Club. In her final semester, she interned in the Office of former Governor David Ige.

Before attending law school, Tammy worked at the Hawaiʻi State Legislature as a committee clerk and later as office manager for the Office of the House Majority Leader. She was also selected as Hawaiʻi’s delegate to the inaugural Western Governors’ Leadership Institute in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

During law school, Tammy continued her work with the State Legislature, externed with the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the District of Hawaiʻi, interned for the HonorableJames S. Kawashima in the Hawaiʻi State Circuit Court, and was a member of the National Trial Team, competing in the National Trial Competition.

Prior to joining Watanabe Ing, Tammy practiced at a Honolulu law firm focusing on condominium and community association law.
