Tracey L. Ohta joined Watanabe Ing as an associate in 2010. Her areas of practice include creditors’ rights and business law, lender liability and title issue litigation, and intellectual property, technology and Internet law. Since joining Watanabe Ing, Ms. Ohta has developed a strong background in intellectual property law, and has applied her legal skills in giving back to the local community. Since 2012, Ms. Ohta has conducted free public seminars on intellectual property rights in partnership with the Hawai‘i State Library. She has also been featured in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser as a local expert on the topic of intellectual property.

Before joining Watanabe Ing, Ms. Ohta clerked for the Honorable Simeon R. Acoba, Jr., Associate Justice of the Hawai‘i Supreme Court. While attending the William S. Richardson School of Law, Ms. Ohta also served as an extern for the Honorable Richard R. Clifton, United States Court of Appeals Judge for the Ninth Circuit.
