Vanessa Wen

Associate

Vanessa Wen joined Watanabe Ing in October 2022 as an associate attorney whose practice is currently focused on assisting clients with Litigation and Trial, Banking and Real Estate, and Creditor’s Rights matters. She is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association as well as the American Judicature Society.

Vanessa received her J.D. from the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, where she was the recipient of the Simeon R. Jr. Acoba scholarship. She received her B.A., cum laude, from Seattle University, where she graduated on the Dean’s List with a major in Criminal Justice and minor in Chinese.  

While in law school, Vanessa served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Jeffrey P. Crabtree of the First Circuit Court of Hawai‘i, and interned at a local mid-sized firm concentrating on general litigation and condominium / homeowners association law, and at the Honolulu Prosecutor’s Office Domestic Violence Misdemeanor and Felony Division.  She also served on the Pacific-Asian Legal Studies Organization's board and was a staff editor for the Asian-Pacific Law and Policy Journal.  

Prior to joining Watanabe Ing, Vanessa served as a law clerk for the Honorable Jeffrey P. Crabtree of the First Circuit Court of Hawai‘i.
