Lori Ann C. Lum

Government Relations & Public Affairs Director

Lori Lum has been the Director of the Government Relations & Public Affairs Group at Watanabe Ing LLP for 20 years, providing strategic counseling, community relations and outreach, and government and public affairs services for clients on public policy issues involving county councils, the State Legislature and congress.

Ms. Lum is a former hospitality industry executive and engages in extensive community relations work. She currently serves on the boards of Child and Family Service, Hawaiʻi’s largest non-profit human service organization, and Girl Scouts of Hawaii.

From 2000 to 2006, she chaired the Board of the Hawaii Community Development Authority (HCDA), an agency created by the 1976 Hawaii State Legislature to plan for and revitalize urban areas in the State which lawmakers found to be in need of timely redevelopment. Ms. Lum also served on the Board of Directors of the Hawaii Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation International, Aloha Festivals, Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii and R.E.A.C.H. Out Hawaii, which provides after-school programs for public middle and intermediate school students.

Ms. Lum is an honors graduate of the University of Hawaiʻi. She received the 2017 Women of Distinction Award from the Girl Scouts of Hawaii.
