Annie L. Macapagal joined Watanabe Ing as a natural extension of her career in government and public affairs. With more than 16 years experience in government relations, she brings extensive knowledge of the inner workings of the state legislature to the Watanabe Ing Public Affairs group. While at the state legislature, she served as a primary bill drafter regarding land, housing, and water issues. Her experience at the Legislature further includes committee work with the Health, Finance and Transportation committees which provides a wealth of information for the firm and its clients.
As part of the Public Affairs group, Ms. Macapagal’s role includes monitoring various committee hearings and engaging with legislators and other state officials to facilitate successful outcomes for the firm’s clients. She is also able to interpret the complicated meanings behind the language of legislative bills to keep clients deeply informed of government actions.
